Anastasia Sargent is an interdisciplinary artist who grew up on unceded Wampanoag territory in Aquinnah, MA. They received their BFA from Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA) in 2018 where they graduated as class valedictorian. They are currently pursuing an MFA in creative visual art at Cornell University’s School of Art Architecture and Planning.

Informed by personal, mythological, and historical narratives, their research based practice addresses themes of environmental justice, reproductive labor, futurity, and class. Employing assemblage, installation, sculpture, video, found objects, text, and appropriated images, they cite the interdisciplinary aspect of their work as vital to demonstrating a multitude of interdependencies.
