Anastasia Sargent is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works on unceded Wampanoag territory in Aquinnah, MA. They received their BFA from Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, CA) in 2018 where they graduated as class valedictorian.

Informed by personal, mythological, and historical narratives, my interdisciplinary practice addresses themes of environmental justice, reproductive labor, gender politics, and class. I’m currently interested in the patriarchy of the occult. Drawing from a wide array of references, including ethnobotany, freemasonry, midwifery, and heraldry, I aim to interrogate social hierarchies of knowledge and power, and illuminate marginalized and gendered practices.
